Brought back memories...
As soon as I tried this Sumatran coffee it reminded me of my travels in Indonesia, where drinking coffee is part of the journey. And somehow the taste is reminiscent of Indonesian culture. This coffee has a strong taste and was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely purchase again and will now try another coffee in the range.
Impressed with the quality!
I recently used coffee-ing to buy beans from Ethiopia. I decided to try coffee-ing because I was impressed with the quality of their information about the provenance of the beans and also their focus on support for the local producer and the environment. The beans were provided in a good quality, re-sealable bag and smelt fresh on opening. A medium roast with heavy aroma giving a delicate and soft feel in the mouth with a subtle and light flavour of nuts.
Black Honey method is a MUST try!
This coffee was recommended by a friend that knows I am into my coffees. And though I've tried Costa Rican coffee many times before, I thought I would try this one because of the particular processing method. I am glad I did as the coffee has a really interesting taste. Personally I enjoyed the fruity and cherry aftertaste, influenced by the honey method. It is definitely my go to craft coffee at the moment.
